ANN ...

Ann Mashburn began her fashion career in editorial in New York in 1984 at Conde Nast as an assistant to famed Vogue Fashion Editor & Stylist Polly Mellon and worked alongside such visionary greats as Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, and Steven Meisel. It was at Vogue where she learned the importance of style over fashion.  The fashion was seasonal and fantastic - but the style that the older fashion editors exuded was lifelong, and style should represent confidence. Following her time at Vogue, she served as an editor and stylist for Glamour Magazine, and then stylist at J.Crew where she worked alongside her soon to be husband, Sid. This began their lifelong creative partnership.

Ann and Sid moved to Atlanta with their 5 daughters in 2007 and opened the Sid Mashburn men's shop on the city's up-and-coming Westside. Ann serving as CFO and COO of the brand during the first three years of the business. In 2010, Ann opened the Ann Mashburn shop as a women's counter-point and feminine equivalent to Sid Mashburn.  The store is inspired by her own well-edited closet, timeless classics and what she feels are essentials for every woman

to own. The shop features an assortment of Ann Mashburn signature line of shirting, dresses,

skirts, footwear, accessories, and a curation of her favorite things picked up from shops

around the world.

Both shops have been named as destinations by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest, O, The Oprah Magazine, Esquire, GQ, Lucky Magazine, CondeNast Traveler and InStyle, among others. Ann has also been recognized by Southern Living as one of the “Most Stylish Southerners”, and “Most Stylish Woman in Atlanta” by Atlanta Magazine.

Flagship Ann and Sid shops are now in Houston, Georgetown, Washington, D.C. and Dallas, and the brand has a presence on the West Coast with a Sid Mashburn-only men’s shop in the Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles.  Most recently, Sid and Ann expanded their flagship Atlanta retail footprint with the opening of an adjacent Mashburn coffee shop and experiential lifestyle concept shop. Ann and her husband Sid live in Atlanta with their five daughters, Elizabeth, Louisa, Daisy, Harriet and Pauline.
