Sarah-Hamlin Hastings began her career and love of design while working at Elle Decor magazine in New York. She then spent several years honing her skills in interior design and project management with the venerable firms Cullman and Kravis and Stiles Colwill Interiors.
Taking a break from the business to raise her four boys, she dipped her toe back in by starting a small antique business in Stamford, CT in 2005. Eventually she and her family re-located from the New York area back to her hometown of Charleston, SC in 2010.
After a few years working on her own as an
interior designer, she found that there was a need for good design resources in the Charleston area, so she founded Fritz Porter Design Collective in 2015. Fritz Porter has grown exponentially the past few years and now has become a renowned resource for boutique textile and wallcovering lines, custom furniture and lighting, one-of-a-kind antiques and accessories.
